Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How do I get involved in the Texas BASS Federation Nation?
A: The Texas BASS Federation Nation is an association of bass clubs around the state that are affiliated with Bass Anglers Sportsmen Society (B.A.S.S.). The fist step as an individual is to locate a club in your area that is affiliated with the Texas BASS Federation Nation. To find a club, go to the Region Web Sites page. Each of the six Regions has a web site that lists the clubs in that Region. You can either contact the Region Director for assistance or contact a representative of the club nearest you. The club officers and members will guide you on how the membership process works.

Q: How does our bass club become affiliated with the Texas BASS Federation Nation?
A: There are some basic requirements for clubs that affiliate with the Texas BASS Federation Nation. There must be at least 6 club members and all members of your club must be a member in good standing with B.A.S.S. Please review the Federation Nation Information Packet for more details and a listing of the required forms. Forms and dues should be submitted to the National BASS Federation Nation in Buena Vista, Florida. The National office will notify the State President when your application has been processed. The State President will then notify your Region Director your club has become affiliated with the Texas BASS Federation Nation.

Q: When I join a club, how much will my annual dues be, and where does my money go?
A: Club dues can range from $50/year to $150/year depending on how active a club is. As you know, every organization needs operating funds and your dues help each level of the Federation provide the services and benefits you enjoy as a BASS Federation Nation member. Of the dues you pay at the club level, $20.00 goes to the National Federation and $18.00 goes to the State Federation. The remainder of the dues are your clubs operating funds for that year.

Q: When are Federation dues required to be submitted each year?
A: Both State Federation dues and National Federation dues are due by December 31st of each year and are generally paid by the club on behalf of it's members.

Q: When does our club need to send in the State Championship registration form and fees?
A: State Championship registration must be sent in by January 31st. The current registration fee for each Top Six team is $590.00. This automatically enters each team member in the big bass pot.
