6/26/09 Federation Central Divisional: Tom
Jessup, Dalhart TX, is the top fisherman on the Texas Team with
9 fish that weighed 17 lbs 8 ozs. That weight was enough to edge
out Jimmy Johnson with 16 lbs 8 ozs and move on to the Federation
National Championship event in Florida in October.

The
Texas Team finishes sixth after a blistering week of fishing
on Greeres Ferry Lake in central Arkansas. Click here to

any interested club to contact me right away.
Attn: Federation Nation North Central and North
East Region members
Regarding: Potential Conservation Project
I have been contacted by TPWD about a potential
problem on Lake Quitman. Waterhyacinth has again expanded and
can potentially restrict access. We are seeking an interested
club or region which would be willing to organize a one day or
multi day hyacinth removal project on Quitman. This is a great
small scale project which will provide many benefits to your
club and our organization. Please see the information below from
Kevin Storey TPWD Inland Fisheries District 3B Biologist. Please
contact me as soon as possible with questions or interest in
this project. I look forward to hearing from you.

The TBFN South East Region will be undertaking
an ambitious, but highly beneficial project to remove trace amounts
of Giant Salvinia from Lake Sam Rayburn. Please see details below.
We would like for you to make all your regions aware of the project.
We are looking for broad participation from not only the Federation
Nation, but also the BASS ACT team, and other members of the
angling community. TPWD will be heavily involved with this event
and possibly supplying financial support as well. We are also
looking for sponsors to provide supplies, water etc. Charles,
we would like to have the State Trailer there as we will have
media coverage, and it can serve as headquarters. This will be
a great project with lots of exposure for our organization. I
hope we can count on some of you attending and helping as well.
This could be our biggest on the ground project of the year.
Leslie and Eric McGaha will be the lead on this project. Please
contact them, myself, or Ron Gunter if you have questions.
For more information or to sponsor the effort,
please visit the SE Region web site.
