Notes from Reginoal Meeting Meeting
November 18, 2004

Regional Meeting Results

Club representatives from throughout the region gathered at Golden Corral in Hillsboro Thursday night November 18.  The highlights of that meeting are as follows:
  • Guest Speaker
Bryan Frazier from Texas Parks and Wildlife Department presented information in regards to the Texas State Parks Pass.  He was selling coupons for a $10 discount.  Bryan can be reached at bryan.frazier@tpwd.state.tx.us or (512) 389-8040.
  • New Club
Welcome Big Sandy Creek Bass Club to the region for 2005.
  • 2005 Boat Shows
Robert Brown presented that he has arranged for the region to have a booth at the Fort Worth Boat Show (Jan 7, 8, 9 and Jan 14, 15, 16) and to host a BassMaster Casting Kids at the Bell County Boat Show Jan 14, 15, 16.  More specific information is forthcoming.  These are two great opportunities to promote your club and the region.
  • BassMaster Weekend Series
Charles reminded everyone BASS is accepting priority registration right now for the BassMaster Weekend series.
  • 2005 Rule Changes
Rule changes were discussed and will be updated onto the downloadable rules from this website.  The biggest change was getting rid of the "don't net your partner's fish" rule.
  • 2005 Tournament Trail

    Feb 27 Stillhouse
    May 21 Eagle Mountain
    May 22 Granbury
    June 25 Limestone
    June 26 Waco
  • New Regional Director
Charles Harkless opened up the floor for nominations for someone to complete the final year of his current 2-year term.  Robert Brown was voted in to be the 2005 regional director.  Congratulations Robert.  Robert will be presented to the state board at their December meeting.
  • 2005 Registration
Charles clearly explained the registration handouts.  White copy and $15 per member goes to National office.  Blue copy and $18 per member goes to State office.  Make a 3rd copy to send to your regional director.  Robert's mailing address is 1145 Whistle Stop Drive, Saginaw, Texas, 76131.
  • Bass Club of the Year
Charles emphasized for clubs to prepare their submittals and get those in before the end of the year.  These can also be mailed to Robert's address.
