Top 6 State Championship Points
Qualification Sheet

Excel Format

The points calculation is on the 4th tab of the spreadsheet. Check with the Region Director to verify that your club's Conservation activity qualifies.

When your club has accumulated a minimum of 50 points, send the results to the Region Director.

Each club must have 50 points or more accumulated and filed with the Region Director by the end of a calendar year. This qualifies your club to send a team to the Top 6 State Championship the following year.

5/12/12: The SE Region Top 40 Championship will be held on Lake Falcon in October. Dates for the tournament will be announced when a tournament site is confirmed.

Dan Cormack
SE Region Director

3/31/2012: Congratulations to Chuck Dodd with Onalaska Bass Club as the second SE Region State Team member.

Chuck was the second place fisherman at the State Championship from the Southeast Region and qualified for that spot as Albert Collins with the Nacadoches Bass Club had already filled the first spot as the top fisherman at the SE Region Championship.

Albert and Chuck will fish the 2012 Cabela's B.A.S.S. Federation Nation Central Divisional on the
Atchafalaya Basin in Morgan City, Louisiana June 6 - 8, 2012 for a chance to move on the Federaion Nation National Championship.

Tournament Schedule status report as of 1-19-12:

1.  Feb 11, 2012 - Rayburn: Jackson Hill has 2 of 4 ramps open with a possibility of the 3rd being open by tournament time.  2 ramps will be adequate to handle the launch.  Terry is constructing a new 8' X 20' floating courtesy dock which will be in place by the 11th of Feb.

2.  March 10, 2012 - Belton:  Cedar Ridge is also Corp. of Engineers so it is a non-starter.  I spoke with the vice-president of the Bud Light trail and found that they launch from Blora Recreation Area on Ft. Hood.  I will contact the folks at Ft. Hood and see if I can secure the area for March 10th.  We would NOT be under the COE restrictions if we operate out of Blora.  I plan to send in our cancellation to the Belton COE tomorrow and we should receive a partial refund on our shelter deposit.

3.  June 23, 2012 - Sam Rayburn:  Umphrey pavillion is not available, but the Twin Dikes boat ramp appears to be available.  I will have definitive word tomorrow and if it is available, I'll take care of the necessary paperwork.

4.  Assuming that all of the above falls into place, the  Richland-Chambers and Livingston tournaments should remain as they are today.

5.  Should we have to move the May tournament to Conroe, the 5th is the only date available that does not conflict with other events.  However, it doesn't look like this will be required.
