Message from the Director
Hello. For those of you that do not know me, my name is Mike Tennant. I am the Director for South Region Texas B.A.S.S. Federation Nation. I was born and raised in Wisconsin (Yes, I am a Yankee/Cheesehead and very upset Green Bay Packer fan following last nights loss). I attended college at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point earning a degree in fisheries biology. Following graduation, I moved to San Marcos, Texas to pursue a career in fisheries management with the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. I am currently employed with the Texas Department of State Health Services Seafood and Aquatic Life Group as a contaminants biologist in Austin, TX. My wife (Nicole) and our two boxers (Rocky and Daisy) live in San Marcos, Texas.
My love for the outdoors, conservation, and bass fishing started as kid fishing and hunting with my family and friends. I joined my first bass club, Canyon Bass Club of San Marcos, of which I am currently a member shortly after moving to Texas. I am also a member of the Del Rio Bassmasters II.
