Behind the leadership
of club conservation director, Jimmie Lee, on Saturday February 22, 2008,
Tarrant Christian Bass Club took the first step towards a long time
commitment to working within our means to protect Texas' waters.
Members combined
classroom lecture and field lab work to complete Phase 1 and Phase 2 of
certification towards being water monitors here in our own back yards.
Once certified, monthly assessments of each selected watershed location will
be provided back to
Texas Watch
in order to identify any water issues as soon as possible.
With this initial step, TCBC is demonstrating their
commitment to doing what they can within their volunteer effort to monitor
local water systems. |
